Hi! I'm Megan Heier. When I'm not tutoring, I am a middle school robotics teacher, which is just as fun as it sounds! I love to spend time with my dog Trout, play video games (I'm currently playing Spiderman 2 on my PS5), go for runs and hang out with my family. I love anything chocolate, and can spend hours reading a book in my hammock on a sunny day.
Experience
I graduated with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary biology in 2017 and decided to go back to school to get my Master in Education in 2018. I have been teaching since 2018. I started teaching 6th grade science and have jumped all over. I now teach robotics, video game design and computer science to 6th-8th graders, though I am qualified (and capable!) to teach science, math and computer science. I have been tutoring far longer than I've been teaching. I work with students from the ages of 8 all the way up to 30 (and I would love to work with older students too!). I prefer working with students that are struggling in a traditional classroom or non-traditional students that need a little extra support. I've tutored everything from 3rd grade reading to college chemistry. I have experience with AP Bio, and I can also help with the SAT and ACT.
