I was born and raised in California and began playing the piano when I was 6 years old. I have been playing piano for 17 years now! Throughout the years, I performed in many state competitions, conventions, church programs, fund raisers, and recitals. I completed and graduated Certificate of Merit with honors and I am qualified to teach Certificate of Merit as well. I began teaching back in 2015 and have found this to be a very rewarding and satisfying career. I believe in encouraging my student’s lifelong learning by showing enthusiasm and creativity. My goal as a teacher is to serve as a mentor and coach while guiding them musically.
Experience
I was always very active in youth programs at my church growing up, so this provided me with many opportunities to create fun musical games educational activities. While I was taking piano classes myself, I would also help tutor my teacher's younger ones. I've also spent a big portion of my time being the one tutored, so I've gained insight on what kind of teaching works best because I've been on the receiving end.
