I'm an artist, educator, and out-doors enthusiast. My pup Moose and I are happiest out and about with the wind in our hair (or fur) and pine needles or prairie grass underfoot.
Experience
My teaching experience covers classroom instruction and curriculum development in ESL, EFL, English composition/writing, Spanish, and the arts, as well as tutoring in math and languages. Prior to moving to Portland, I taught at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and at Mills College in Oakland. Most of my experience with younger learners is based in bilingual education; I taught pre-K through middle school while in Mexico City, my home for five years. I hold an MFA from Mills College, BA from Brown University and a CELTA certification.
