Hi! Most students call me “Miss Lisa” or “Miss P” because my last name can be hard to pronounce. I have two sons who play ice hockey and a cocker spaniel named Frankie. I love hiking, traveling, movies, and teaching! In my spare time I like watching Netflix, knitting blankets, and playing board games and cards. My favorite place to visit is Disneyland, and I look forward to the day they will open again in California!
Experience
My career started as a public child care provider, and proceeded to a literacy instructor, nanny, owning my own home-based licensed preschool, and currently working as a curriculum developer for school districts across the country as an independent contractor with Zia Learning out of Chicago. I also provide professional development to teachers learning how to teach remotely. I have a degree in Elementary Education and am currently licensed to teach in Colorado for grades K-5.
