Hi! My name is Miss Katie, and I’ve been teaching kids and adults for 12 years. My favorite subjects are Literacy (reading & writing) and Science, but I can make math pretty dang fun too! I love bringing learning alive through experience and imagination, and I have a million ways to make learning more entertaining than just staring at a screen. Let’s get started!
Experience
I have 6 years of classroom experience teaching PreK-1st grade, as well as designing & writing curriculum for grades K-5 at a local bilingual elementary school. I have an additional 6 years of experience as the CEO of an award winning self defense program that specializing in teaching problem solving, anti-bullying, and leadership skills to children age 3-12. I have 2 Master’s of Education degrees, and I have experience teaching bilingual students as well as students with disabilities.
