Hi, all! I'm an outdoor enthusiast and thrive in nature. Traveling around the world, learning from cultures that I know little to nothing about has been humbling and telling. My background is in the arts, music, poetry, and in education. I love using the tool as a tool in academia to guide our creative inquiry. Curiosity carries me through my days.
Experience
My experience began in Pittsburgh (7th grade English), but quickly brought me to Indonesia, where I taught 3-11th grade English, Social Studies, and Science in a span of three years. I moved to San Francisco to teach 9-12 grade Englsih, and then off to Fairfield, CA to teach Special Education, English, and Math 6-8th grades. Most recently, I taught in Tonga (South Pacific) grades 1-6 English with the US Peace Corps. We were evacuated at the end of March because of COVID. Currently, I am pursuing a doctorate in Transformative Studies out of CIIS.
