I am an energetic, fun loving, and experienced teacher who enjoys hiking, gardening, wandering in the forest, and reading alongside my nine-year-old daughter. I also love walking my dog and cuddling with my cats.
Experience
I have worked as a special education specialist for the past 15 years. I worked at Los Gatos High School for 11 years and I am very well-versed in high school curriculum and the process of transitioning from high school to college and community college. I also have worked at the middle school level for four years so I am also familiar with middle school level curriculum and I enjoy working with that age group, as well. I also spent one year working at an elementary school where I did academic intervention for all grade levels so I am experienced with the fundamentals of literacy and common core math. What makes me stand out is that I am creative and can think outside of the box in the moment to help Curriculum makes sense to any students. I have an unending patient as well as a positive demeanor so I am able to quickly build rapport and get along well with any students of any age. I am also able to help students enjoy the process and to enjoy learning so they naturally become More engaged students.
